Manga Call-centre

CM_Call Centre Grinder by *ChichiriYuki on deviantART

This is the resulted commission of a call-centre grinder Page

It’s actually the 4th variations of Episode 001 – This Unpublished episode is the 1st variation, Episode 034 is the 2nd variation, the 3rd variation was my attempt at making it a manga …

For those interested on “How to commission an artist” :

The commission went like that, I sent my request in deviantart to chichiriyuki.deviantart.com/

After checking her commission price list – a Manga page cost 20$

I asked in a note, what I wanted and the artist agreed

Then the payment was made over paypal

And I waited for the result – when finished, the artist post a small resolution page (the one on deviantart) and send a full resolution (4961×6752 pixels) file just for me.

Overall, a really cool experience.

Happy New Year and Best Wishes!

2013 has just started, and I contacted a Manga artist (*chichiriyuki) on deviantart and commissioned a Manga Page of a Call-Centre Grinder (a remake of page 1)

One fact is that I’m currently struggling to “master” Manga Studio – a new software that I purchased a month ago.

Another fact is that after finishing Season 2 of Call-Centre Grinder – I’m pretty much stuck with art-block and can’t even contemplate starting a new page (although I have all Season 3 scripted ready to go)

This page will be the fourth variation of the original page 1 – and I’m very excited about seeing another artist working with the characters I’ve created.

This is my first experience at commissioning an artist – I will tell you how the whole experience went and of course the result page

Otherwise, it’s been 2 years and 6 month that I’ve left my corporate job in a call-centre and started Freelancing (last month was May 2010).

At the end of 2012 a nice soul sent me 20$ through paypal for some artwork I posted long ago on openclipart.org – this made me feel, that somehow there still is hope.

I want 2013 to be focused on what makes me happy – supporting others (by commission or collaborations, donations, etc …), sharing my artworks, writing stories, drawing them, spending time with my family and having fun.

Marking the End of season 0240th Episode

That’s coincidentally about 2 years ago, that I’ve quit my Call-Centre job
Never been happier …

Have a nice day …. and if you’re on the phone – remember it’s your choice, you can always give a resignation letter.

This is almost the end of season 2 – “Freshly Hired”
And this is also one of Martin Bradford little tricks up in his manager’s sleeve :

Avoid hiring an employee directly, because it is never as interesting or beneficial to you, instead you may prefer to hire an Intern or a  contractor.
