About
This blog originally was about openclipart (ocal) – it was created to follow my progress with inkscape, and posting my work on openclipart – see http://openclipart.org/media/people/Peileppe
Then it evolves into a repository for a Wesnoth-comics production ; my goal was to have a complete album that would cover the Heir to the throne campaign, 1 page at a time. I thought that it would take a year … it actually took longer but I rushed to finish it in March 2009 and posted the result to lulu.com.
Now its becoming a repository for for a second production (starting from scratch) - the Lorodun project involves writing script, character study, etc … and experimenting a lot. But one thing is for sure, I will make an effort to document every step, and hopefully that will prevent mistakes and will keep me motivated, and focused ..
The attempt is not too bad but it does not keep the interest. I’m not certain if you’re just doing it to improve your artistic skills but if you’re alro aiming for readership, perhaps you could attempt to make it more interesting. Consider turning to humour like Darhs and Droids or DM of the Rings did.
Just a suggestion
Thanks for being the first to comment on this blog, I feel honoured.
You’re right – honestly, i have to improve the humor a bit.
The challenge for me in this “exercise” is that I want to use mostly Wesnoth resources, including text, and the mainline scenario – the current process is as follow :
- I play the mission (the fun part)
- Extract graphics, sometime adapt them or create a few from scratch
- Create the page with Inkscape and publish the page
- Later, noticing mistakes, inconsistencies – I modify and republish some pages
So thanks for the current suggestion and more importantly keep on giving feedbacks (constructive-one if possible
)
